Section 51 manual
PAIA Manual.
This manual explains how to request access to records held by the merchant operating AnyWeather under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000.
Status: Pre-launch draft, updated 17 August 2026
1. Private body and Information Officer
This manual is prepared for the private body operating the AnyWeather online store. The unconfirmed corporate details below must be completed before the manual is treated as final or submitted to the Information Regulator.
Information Officer: Philip Parker
PAIA and privacy requests: sales@anyweather.co.za
2. Purpose of this manual
The manual helps a requester identify records, understand whether access may be requested, find the correct contact and follow the prescribed request process. Access is subject to PAIA’s grounds for granting or refusing a request and any other applicable law.
3. Information Regulator guide
The Information Regulator publishes a guide explaining PAIA and the request process. The current guide, forms and contact information are available on the Information Regulator’s PAIA page.
4. Records that may be held
- Company, governance, ownership and statutory records.
- Tax, accounting, banking, transaction and audit records.
- Supplier, courier, service-provider and commercial agreements.
- Customer accounts, orders, payments, deliveries and returns.
- Marketing consents, opt-outs, promotions and voucher records.
- Product, pricing, stock, catalogue and fulfilment records.
- Policies, operational procedures and customer communications.
- Employment, contractor and personnel records, where applicable.
- Website, security, access, incident and technical logs.
- Intellectual-property and brand records.
Listing a category does not mean every record exists or that access will automatically be granted.
5. Records available without a formal PAIA request
Public website pages, product information, published policies and this manual are available without Form 2. A customer may also access ordinary account and order information through the account area or by contacting customer support, subject to identity verification.
6. Applicable legislation

- Companies Act 71 of 2008, if applicable to the confirmed entity.
- Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

- Other legislation applicable to the merchant’s final structure and activities.
7. How to request a record
- Download the current prescribed Form 2 from the Information Regulator’s PAIA page.
- Identify the requested record, the right you seek to exercise or protect, and why the record is required for that purpose.
- Include the requested access format, your contact details and reasonable proof of identity or authority.
- Send the completed request to sales@anyweather.co.za.
Prescribed request and access fees may apply. The Information Officer will communicate applicable fees, the decision and available remedies in accordance with PAIA.
8. Personal-information processing
AnyWeather processes customer, account, order, delivery, payment, marketing, voucher, support and technical information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Data subjects include customers, prospective customers, voucher recipients, suppliers, service providers, staff and website visitors.
Relevant information may be shared with hosting, commerce, email, payment, analytics and delivery providers. Some processing may occur outside South Africa with appropriate safeguards. Reasonable technical and organisational security measures include access controls, encrypted transport, private storage and separated credentials.
9. Availability and updates
Once final, this manual will be available without charge on this website and at the confirmed principal place of business during normal business hours. A printed copy may attract a reasonable reproduction fee. The manual will be reviewed when the merchant’s structure, contact details, records or processing materially change.
